Photographed in a Portsmouth playground during an unseasonably warm 70-degree day, Travel Not Recommended captures a moment suspended between winter and spring. The light suggests change, but the landscape holds on—snow lingering, movement interrupted.
A toy truck sits partially buried, its purpose clear but its path uncertain. What might have been a simple scene becomes something quieter and more reflective: a study in hesitation, transition, and the subtle tension between expectation and reality.
As with much of my work, the photograph leans on natural light and timing—waiting for the elements to align rather than arranging them. The result is an image that feels both familiar and slightly out of place, inviting a second look.
