I am a fine art photographer based in New England. My interest in photography began in high school, where I first learned the craft and developed a lasting appreciation for the photographic print. I later attended New England School of Photography and worked as a freelance photography assistant, experiences that provided a strong foundation in both the technical and creative aspects of the medium. Raised in Worcester, Massachusetts, I spent the 1970s and the next 30 years shooting, developing, printing, and refining my technique, an approach that continues to inform my work today. Although I now work digitally, I approach photography with the same patience and attention to detail that characterized my early darkroom experience. My photographs are often made while exploring city streets, small towns, and overlooked corners of the built environment throughout New England and beyond. Over the years, I have developed a body of work grounded in attention to light, framing, and composition, and in an enduring interest in the traces of humanity found within everyday environments.
