About Me

I grew up in Worcester Massachusetts which is where my love of photography began. It was in a high school photo course that I shot, processed and printed my first roll of film and I've been hooked ever since.

I attended The New England School of Photography for two jam packed years that helped solidify my commitment to my chosen field. After leaving there I spent time in Boston working in labs, assisting other photographers and shooting freelance assignments.

In 1995 I moved to the New Hampshire Seacoast with my wife and daughter where I decided to concentrate on fine art photography. My early black and white work shaped my point of view and pushed me to explore a different approach to color photography.

My photographs are an open window to my personal observations. I take great care in producing high quality work. Hopefully you will find something that you can connect with.

Inspiration

I find inspiration in everyday life. Though not drawn to document the human condition, I feel compelled to record the handiwork of people. I photograph familiar objects and places with intent to spark feelings of nostalgia.

Techniques

My work is an amalgam of precisely manipulated color and black and white matrices which I combine to create a unique style.

Philosophy

Technology is a wonderful thing but nothing will ever change the basic principle of capturing light and shadow. That's where the magic really happens.
